Continental Europe and Russia
Continental Europe is always a destination which many lawyers prefer to the well trodden path to London.
The major financial centres such as Amsterdam, Brussels, Frankfurt and Paris are more mainstream routes for overseas lawyers whereas Milan and Madrid have significantly less demand for common law lawyers.
Very occasionally we are asked about locations such as Poland, Scandinavia and Moscow. It is certainly true to say that nothing is impossible and we have had international law firms asking about suitable candidates for Moscow but it is rarer and timing is key.
